Show Solidarity with Locked Out Steelworkers

lol Greetings Sherry —

Fenner Dunlop continues their attack on the well bring of members of USW Local 7949 by going after their sick leave program – during a global pandemic! It’s an utter lack of respect for the years of work out members have done.

Show your solidarity by sending this letter to Fenner Dunlop management to get back to the bargaining table with a fair offer:

Laurentian University Crisis

Doug Ford and the Conservative government are at it again. This time, they are letting Laurentian University collapse. Watch it here:

This will devastate northern Ontario communities and undermine Ontario’s future. Doug Ford is using this crisis as a way to rationalize his government’s attack on public education and eventually, our public services and institutions.

You can help by joining thousands of Ontarians to demand funding for Laurentian University now:

Day of Mourning

April 28 is the National Day of Mourning, when we honour and remember all workers who have been killed or critically injured while on the job.

There’s still time to place your merchandise order, which now includes face masks, and show your solidarity. Order by Friday April 16! For more details and to download the order form, go to:

The Workers Health and Safety Centre have also compiled a list of some ways you can mark the day and actions you can take every day to help protect every worker:

Permanent Paid Sick Days

We are over a year into the pandemic now and well into the third wave. Health care workers and advocates have been calling on the government to provide permanent paid sick days. Workers shouldn’t have to choose between staying home when sick or paying the bills. Join in the rallying cries of healthcare workers and advocates on providing permanent paid sick days:

Let’s all take care of one another and stay safe.
